Credentials, Certifications, and Associations | NICET CERTIFIED NICET (National Institute of Certified Engineering Technicians) is the leader in certification programs for the fire protection industry. Vanguard has multiple staff—in sales, technician, and engineering positions—who have attained NICET certifications in various fire-related disciplines.
NFPA ASSOCIATION NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) is the premiere association providing code development to the fire industry. Vanguard makes extensive use of NFPA guidelines, codes, and educational materials.
STATE CERTIFICATIONS As a nationwide fire and security contractor, Vanguard has made significant efforts to ensure our company is following the licensing guidelines of the numerous states in which we are licensed to work.

ISNETWORLD Vanguard uses the services of ISNetworld as a method of having an independent third party verify the integrity of our ongoing safety training programs. Clients that also use ISNetworld are able to verify ongoing safety training undertaken by Vanguard.
ABC ASSOCIATION ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors) is a nationwide organization serving the industry needs of many types of contractors. Their training and networking opportunities allow Vanguard to keep abreast of industry “best practices.”
SECURITY ASSOCIATION Vanguard staff maintain membership in ASIS International, which is the largest organization for security professionals worldwide. ASIS advocates security standards and guidelines to better the security profession.

SPECIALTY LICENSING With Vanguard being involved in many facets of the fire and security industry we have invested heavily in the specialty licensing of technicians, including fire alarm, burglar alarm, and mechanical contractor specialty licenses, to name just a few.
UL LISTINGS From two perspectives, UL listing is critical to the fire and security industry. Vanguard ensures we monitor customer alarm systems with a UL listed central station. Additionally, we use UL listed equipment on our projects.
NCMS COMPLIANCE NCMS (National Compliance Management Services) is an oil and gas industry contractor monitoring organization. With Vanguard providing nationwide services to the oil and gas industry this organization manages the complex compliance issues related to DOT, and drug and alcohol testing.
